The idea behind Mend Birmingham grew out of a personal experience of spending several months in a waiting room for a hospitalized loved one. We experienced, firsthand, the difficulties that can arise from living the “waiting room life.” During that time, we had many friends and family who demonstrated their love for us in practical ways, and we feel compelled by Christ to love others as we have been loved. We primarily carry out this mission in a hosptial waiting room by spending time with and serving people there.
