Street Thought is an open mic night in an attempt to create a more dynamic space to be with those who are homeless. A space that does more than meet the basic needs i.e. food and shelter, but a space that will cultivate solidarity, worthiness and ultimately nurture each persons own creativity. This event won’t be the end all be all for that, but in hopes it will cause a tailspin of more dynamic environments for us all to be together as equals. The night is a night about Kinship. It’s about knowing one another more deeply. In each persons’ thoughts that braves the stage is their dreams, their fears, their longings of what they want to see. So, we open up the mic and see what happens.
